High School Students
  • College Preview Program

Outstanding high school students are encouraged to enroll in introductory college courses at Polytechnic Institute of NYU. Polytechnic waives regular tuition and charges only a registration fee per course. High school students who satisfactorily complete their course work earn college credits, which represent a significant financial benefit to students and their families. Available courses include college mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, and selected courses in the humanities and social science. Applications (and a recommendation from their guidance counselor or principal) for courses offered in the Fall must be submitted during the first week of September; Spring semester course applications are due in mid-January.

  • University Tours

Visit the University and see what's possible for you here at Polytechnic. Explore our campus, meet with professors, talk to students, sit in on a class or lab, meet with the financial aid and admissions staff, and participate in our overnight host program.
We are open for visitors Mon.-Fri., 9am-5pm and select Saturdays, 11am - 1pm. (dates TBA). When you visit our campus, we will waive the in-person application fee. If you are planning a trip from out of town, please call the Office of Admissions at: 1-800-POLYTECH.
  • Tutorial Programs

Students from Polytechnic's science and engineering programs, as well as from several student organizations, are available on a limited basis to provide tutoring services in various academic areas. Please contact the Y.E.S. Center at 718-637-5944 for further information on how to become a YES tutor or to receive tutoring.
