Webcast an Event

Broadcasting an event or lecture online is an exciting way to reach people beyond the NYU-Poly campus. If you would like to webcast an event, you have two options: the event can be viewed online live as it is happening or you can record the event and have it available on the web for viewing at any time. To request a webcast, fill out the form below.

Webcasting Guidelines

No video editing is available at this time. The webcast will be posted on the web as is.
Reservations for webcasting are required at least two weeks in advance.
Once we provide you with the link to the webcast, you are responsible for sending the link to your audience.
To conserve space on the server, webcasts will be hosted for a maximum of six months at http://webcast.poly.edu/.
The Web Team can train your staff/students to manage webcasting events.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the correct windows media codec installed with appropriate players.

Service Charges

During weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm, the first hour of webcasting service is provided free of charge. Services required beyond the first hour will be charged $50 per hour.

Charges for services required after normal business hours or on weekends will be negotiated on an individual basis.
