The Writing Center is here to help you with any writing assignment! We also offer activities for improving English fluency.
During the school year, the Writing Center hours are:
Monday-Thursday 10-6
Friday 11-5
Drop-in writing help is available from 12-2, Monday-Thursday.

Appointments are recommended. Writing Center appointments are typically 45 minutes long and start at the beginning of each hour.

Writing Services
Appointments: A writing consultant will work with you individually for up to 45 minutes. The writing consultant can help you at any stage of your work: brainstorming, putting together a thesis statement, finding evidence, organizing information, citing sources, editing and proofreading. The writing consultant will help you focus your thoughts, organize your paper, and use grammatically correct English.
Drop-In: from 12-2pm Monday-Thursday a tutor will work with you one-on-one on short assignemnts, career documents and other writing needs. Sessions typically last about 20 minutes, no appointment necessary!
Speaking
We can help you prepare for oral presentations in 1:1 sessions.
If you are a new English speaker, join one of our Conversation Groups! Groups include 3-6 students and an instructor. You will improve your English vocabulary, pronunciation, and use of idioms. Conversation groups are friendly and relaxed, and will help you become more confident speaking English. The groups are also a great way to meet students from other academic departments and other countries.
...And don't forget to stop by our weekly Conversation Café on Friday from 4-5:30. Come practice American- style English, meet new people and have some treats! The Conversation Cafe begins Friday, Sept 19th!
