Cultural & Social Activities

Everyone needs time to relax, especially when dealing with the challenging workload at Polytechnic Institute of NYU. To help enhance your overall learning experience and give you an opportunity to unwind, we organize free cultural activities and trips throughout the academic year. These fun events give you with a chance to hang out with other TRIO students while experiencing new places and cultures.

These are some of the exciting trips we’ve taken in the past:

• Museum of Natural History
• Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum
• Federal Reserve
• Broadway Shows (e.g. Aida, Avenue Q, Beauty and the Beast)
• Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum
• Transit Museum Rose Center for Math & Science
• Cultural Restaurants
  

Each year over Memorial Day Weekend we schedule an out-of-state trip in which selected students can visit a city such as Boston, Philadelphia, or Washington D.C. Students will have the opportunity to visit museums, historical landmarks, and participate in a host of other activities.
