Academic Skills Development
College presents a wide range of challenges for all students, but it can be especially difficult for those who haven’t developed strong academic skills. For some students it was not very hard to succeed in high school, so it was not necessary to put much effort into developing strong study habits. This can make the transition to college more difficult. The good news is that it is not too late to learn to develop the skills necessary to be successful in college.
Remember, no one is born knowing how to succeed in school! Not only do you need to learn particular techniques for working effectively, but you also need to figure out which techniques work best for you.
