Following is a list of suggested items you should bring with you when you check into the residence hall. For some of the larger items (i.e. refrigerators, microwaves etc) you should discuss with the people you are living with to see who is bringing what item.
- School Supplies
- TV
- VCR
- Mini Refrigerator (students living in suites without kitchens)
- Stereo and headphones
- At least 1-three prong extension cord Power strip/surge protector
- Desk Lamp
- Alarm Clock
- Laundry bag Laundry Detergent
- Needles and thread or safety pins
- Twin Extra Long bed sheets / Comforter / Pillows
- Microwaves (one per suite/apartment)
- Anything to decorate your room (photos/posters/etc.)
- Iron and Small ironing board
- Organizer or planner (calendar)
- Towels
- Bathrobe
- Can-opener
- Coffee-maker
- Band aids Tylenol or pain reliever
- Personal hygiene items (toothpaste, soap, shampoo, toothbrush, deodorant, etc...)
- Toilet Paper
- Shower shoes
- Umbrella
What Not to Bring:
More importantly, what you should leave at home!!!
- No toaster ovens
- No electrical appliances with open coils (i.e. hot plates)
