WHERE WE LIVE - BROOKLYN, BABY!
Brooklyn is one of the most diverse, interesting, energetic communities in the world. Representing about 25% of New York City's land area and 31% of New York City's residents, Brooklyn is the largest and most populous borough of NYC. Acclaimed throughout American history, celebrated in movies and television, and called home by many of today’s most influential people – it’s Brooklyn, baby!
How we move

Walk  - The NYU-Poly campus is located in the MetroTech Center, a vibrant mix of corporate headquarters, universities, shopping, and government agencies. Over 250,000 people walk through the Center each day.

Ride - Students agree that the NYC Subway  is one of the best public transportation systems in the world. Ten subways lines - the 2, 3, 4, and 5, A, C, M, R, Q, and B - are within 1-2 blocks of campus.

Drive - The Brooklyn Campus is easily accessible from all parts of New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut. It is easily accessible by car from the Brooklyn or Manhattan Bridges or the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.

Where we eat

Pizza with friends - Grimaldi's Pizzeria, a Brooklyn landmark located near the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge, is considered by most to be the best pizza in NYC. Also, dozens of pizzerias are located near NYU-Poly – com’ on, this is Brooklyn!

The best cheesecake in the world - Junior’s world famous cheesecake is just steps away from Poly. Another Brooklyn staple!

3AM caffeine craving - From Starbucks to Dunkin Donuts, that cup of Joe is always within reach.

On a budget - Finding the best food for the least dollars is a college rite of passage. Here are some hints – Au Bon Pain cookies are half-price from 4-6PM.  Use your student ID to get discounts at stores in MetroTech, and you can never go wrong with Ramen noodles.

Where to take your parents - Check out CitySearch for the scoop on hundreds of restaurants in the area.

Where we shop
