In the summer of 2012, with the support of the Deutsche Bank Foundation, NYU-Poly offered a free four-week summer event for NYC public middle school students. Dubbed The Science of Smart Cities (SOSC), the program focused on engineering, technology, sustainability and environmental issues.
At the camp's conculsion, students presented final projects, displaying the innovative ways in which they would make cities cleaner, more efficient and more pleasant places to live for inhabitants.
