Summer Research Brings Together Students, Faculty
Each summer members of the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering (School of Engineering) faculty open up their labs to undergraduates from the School of Engineering, NYU's College of Arts and Sciences and NYU Abu Dhabi for 10 weeks of hands-on research under close mentorship. Students work full time in the lab with a faculty member and also participate in weekly seminars presented by distinguished faculty and guests. Last week, at the program’s end, students presented their projects at the New Student Convocation.
The Summer Research Program was initiated in 2007 by the Office of the Provost. Its success is made possible by the financial support from the Institute’s loyal and generous donors as well as supplements from the research grants of the mentoring faculty.
