The Polytechnic Institute Alumni Association, with AON, AON Benfield, and United Nations Financial Advisors, a United Nations Federal Credit Union owned company, hosted a Thanksgiving Alumni Luncheon at P.J. Clarke's on the Husdon, Saturday, November 19, 2011 followed by a tour of Canstruction at the World Financial Center in Manhattan.
Canstruction is an international charity that organizes competitions in 100 cities worldwide featuring gravity defying sculptures made entirely out of food cans! At the end of the competition, food cans featured in the sculptures, as well as food cans donated by visitors, are all donated to the local food bank.
Alumni donated canned food items to benefit local food pantries, and toured the exhibit througout the afternoon.
