Remembering George Bugliarello
Dr. George Bugliarello, President Emeritus of the Polytechnic Institute of NYU and an internationally acclaimed engineer, author, and visionary, passed away on the morning of February 18, 2011.
In his leadership as President of Polytechnic from 1973 to 1994, his teaching and research throughout his life, and his grappling with some of the 21st century's greatest challenges and opportunities, he felt a compassion for the world and the conditions in which we live.
