Broadband, net neutrality, and American innovation in the global marketplace were just some of the topics Julius Genachowski, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), addressed at Polytechnic Institute of NYU last Thursday. The chairman met with faculty who are conducting research on areas regulated by or of interest to the FCC, and gave a talk to students, faculty, staff, and invited guests, including Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz. President Jerry M. Hultin and Congressman Edolphus Towns, who represents the 10th Congressional District of Brooklyn, spoke with the chairman about innovation, regulation, and the economy as they guided him on his tour.
