Historic Launch for NYU-Poly MBA
The Polytechnic Institute of NYU MBA program officially launched on Saturday, January 26th with the start of classes for the Spring 2008 semester. The "beta class" of 40 new NYU-Poly MBA students began with two brand new courses--"Strategy for the Modern Enterprise" taught by Department Chair Mel Horwitch and "Ethical Dimensions of Modern Management" taught by Howard Kupferman.
"The NYU-Poly MBA--possessing certain carefully crafted unique attributes associated with a technology-based university--is finally launched," offered Prof. Horwitch. "I personally want to thank everyone at the University for their help and support. We are indeed proud of this substantive accomplishment, but this is only the beginning. We are moving ahead with our vision to build New York's premier techno-MBA program, and have great expectations for the incoming Fall class in September."
The NYU-Poly MBA student profile is diverse, with participants from all walks of industry. From IT and pharmaceuticals to media and finance, students are seeking a program that will diversify their skills and knowledge within the context of an innovation-driven, modern business enterprise. Rassul Shah, a Technical Business Systems Advisor at WellPoint summed it up, "The NYU-Poly MBA program is an ideal place for me to advance my career by fortifying my technology skills with knowledge in business strategy and innovation. Poly's technology roots make it the ideal place for me."
The University is now accepting applications for the Fall 2008 semester. Interested parties are encouraged to request information and then begin the application process. A series of information sessions are planned for winter and spring, so please stay tuned.
