Polytechnic Institute of NYU welcomes Fall 2008 incoming MBA class
The New Student Welcome Gathering for the MBA-Innovation & Technology Management Program took place on Saturday, August 23rd, 2008.
New students had the opportunity to get a feel for the Poly MBA experience and to meet fellow classmates.
Guest speaker Dr. Jabril Bensedrine discussed the salient aspects of innovation in a high-tech ecomomy, and how Polytechnic MBA students can be involved.
Jabril is founder and Managing Director of The Triana Group, Inc., a firm that supports the globalization of high-tech, high-growth companies ranging from start-up stage to small and midsize. In this capacity, he acts as an Advisor, Board Member, or Director for the international initiatives of several companies and organizations in Europe and the United States.
Following lunch, students then broke into two study groups and did a case study on Madonna--using her career and approach toward reinventing herself continuously (along with a superior organization and set of professionals) as an example of modern strategy and innovation. The discussion was lively, and kicked off a great start to a new academic season of critical thinking and inquiry.
We are pleased to welcome our new students. Good luck and keep innovating!
