MT 2811 Materials Science Laboratory

Description:

Students learn how to characterize the microstructure, and crystal structure of a material by optical and scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The mechanical characterization is accomplished by hardness, tensile & yield strength, impact and fatigue testing.

Pre-Requisite: PH 1004 Introductory Physics I and CM 1004 General Chemistry for Engineers and MT 2813 Introduction to Materials Science
