ME 7113 Viscous Flow and Boundary Layers

Description:

Introduction to molecular and macroscopic transport. Reynold's transport theorem. Concepts of stress and strain and derivation of the Navier-Stokes equations. Similarity principle. Exact solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations. Low Reynolds number flows. Boundary layer theory. Momentum integral equation. Introduction to turbulence.
