Undergraduate Student Orientation

Congratulations on your acceptance and decision to attend NYU-Poly!

Once you deposit and confirm your arrival for the fall you will be invited to experience New Student Orientation at NYU-Poly. Be prepared for fun, informative, and meaningful events and programs, all geared toward you as you begin your journey with us.  New Student Orientation is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 26, 2013 until Friday, August 30, 2013. 

Orientation will provide you with academic advisement as well as the opportunity to meet other new students, learn more about NYU-Poly resources, and fully get ready for your first semester.

New Undergraduate Student Checklist

Once you have been accepted, use this checklist to ensure a smooth transition to NYU-Poly. As part of this, make sure to print, fill out, and submit all Immunization Requirements.

Mathematics Placement Exams

All incoming students (both first year students and transfer students) MUST take the Mathematics Placement Exam. Read more about the exam, including schedules and exemptions.

Expository Writing Placement Exam
All incoming transfer students and a selected group of incoming first-year students are required to take the Expository Writing Placement Exam. Read more about the exam, including schedules and exemptions.

Transfer Student Information

Transfer students arrive at NYU-Poly with a foundation of knowledge about transitioning to higher education. Transfer students also attend our New Student Orientation events and activities so that they can become acclimated to the NYU-Poly community. NOTE: All Transfer students need to take the Mathematics Placement Exam, please click on the link above for more information.

International Student Information

All International students will be required to meet with the Office of International Students and Scholars.  This time will be built in during the Orientation schedule.  For additional information please check out the OISS website.

NYU-Poly Mentorship Program

Sign-up to participate in Student Council's Mentorship Program!  This program pairs first-year students with an upperclassmen mentee who provides guidance and insight about the NYU-Poly experience.  Students also participate in workshops, bi-weekly group meetings, and off-campus outings
