Academic and Financial
Financial Aid
Polytechnic Institute of NYU offers a wide variety of financial assistance to students including scholarships, fellowships, need-based tuition awards, federal and private loans, and a range of flexible payment plans. Many of these programs can be combined to provide a package of assistance that meets your particular needs and circumstances. Contact the Graduate Center or Financial Aid.
Library
From providing reference materials to quiet areas for study, the library will be an extremely important part of your life as an NYU-Poly student.
Polytechnic Tutoring Center
The Polytechnic Tutoring Center, often referred to simply as the "PTC," is dedicated to giving you the individualized attention you need to help you achieve your academic goals at NYU-Poly. Our services are available to all students, free of charge. The PTC’s Writing Center provides help with writing assignments by offering students appointments and drop-in hours. The Writing Center at the PTC also offers help with speaking assignments and English conversation.
Registrar
The Registrar's Office is the keeper of all students' academic records. Any and all documents vital to your academic record will be kept here (with the exception of registration forms and grade information).
Student Financial Services
The Office of Student Financial Services handles student billing, payments, Federal and alternative (private) loan disbursements, processing of refund checks, and TAP certification, among other financial-related student matters.
Health, Wellness, Fitness and Living
Athletics and Recreation
The Athletics office offers intramurals, clubs and classes, as well as access to a gym and fitness center. Intramurals, clubs, and classes, and the fitness center are open to all current students.
Counseling and Psychological Services
Counseling and Psychological Services offer a variety of services designed to help Polytechnic Institute of NYU students achieve their maximum potential both academically and professionally. The staff consists of licensed psychiatrists, psychologists and psychological trainees who offer short-term individual psychotherapy, group counseling, and consultation.
Housing
NYU-Poly offers limited housing opportunities for Graduate Students at the Clark Residence in close proximity to campus. More information can be found here: http://www.studenthousing.org/residences/st-george-clark
Off-Campus Housing
These resources are merely suggestions. NYU-Poly does not endorse any of the websites or resources below. As always, when using internet resources, please use necessary caution and refrain from sharing sensitive materials (financial, personal, etc.) online.
NYU-Poly students can access the NYU Off-Campus Housing Office at the Washington Square Campus. This office offers resources and guidance with the process of finding safe and affordable off-campus housing. They also provide roommate listings. NYU-Poly students can visit the office in person (4 Washington Square Village / northwest corner of Mercer and Bleecker; be sure to bring your Student Id Card).
Many NYU-Poly Students reside in Ozone Park in Queens, or Bay Ridge in Brooklyn. The commute is around 30 minutes, but is much more reasonably priced than the area surrounding NYU-Poly.

Aloft Hotel is a short walk from campus in Downtown Brooklyn. A discounted rate may be available for NYU-Poly Students at approximately $130 per night plus taxes.
Immunizations and Student Health Insurance
Students are required to submit various proofs of immunization documents and to have health insurance. You can learn about what is required of on these pages:

Office of the Dean of Student Affairs
The Office of Dean of Student Affairs (insert link) is concerned with the holistic education and development of all NYU-Poly students both inside and outside the classroom. Student Affairs help students put the various pieces of their educational, personal and professional developmental puzzle together from orientation to commencement. The Division of Student Affairs supports NYU-Poly’s academic mission by enhancing students’ education through a range of programs that build intrapersonal, professional, emotional, and other essential life skills. We work in partnership with academic, support, and service departments to tailor our activities to students’ needs. Our programs address emerging issues and foster community building.

General
Graduate Center
Enrollment Focus on Conditional Admissions The Graduate Center is the administrative unit of NYU-Poly's Graduate School. The Graduate Center is a one-stop office that services the entire graduate school community. It focuses on areas such as outreach, admissions, enrollment, retention, funding and scholarship opportunities. During NGSO, new students with conditional admission such as ESL, proof-of-degree, perquisites, or other academic conditions are required to check-in with the Graduate Center. Please see the NGSO schedule for more details on time and location.

Information Systems
The Information Systems department can help you with a variety of computer and networking needs – from obtaining usernames or passwords for PeopleSoft and MyPoly to solving e-mail and laptop issues.
Facilities
The goal of Facilities is to provide a safe, serviceable environment for all those who work and study at NYU-Poly. The facilities office provides essential services to the NYU-Poly community such as:

International Students
Office of International Students and Scholars
The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) helps international students with their documentation and processing. If you are an international student you are required to report to OISS for enrollment and before registering for classes. And if you plan to travel outside of the United States during your course of study OISS must approve your travel plans ahead of time. There are many other requirements of international students that you should read about online.
NYU Services for NYU-Poly Students

Planning for Life Beyond NYU-Poly
Alumni Relations
The Office of Alumni Relations serves as a liaison between the Polytechnic Alumni and the Institute. The office maintains alumni records, assists with planning alumni events and coordinates alumni fund-raising efforts.
Polytechnic Institute of NYU's alumni association, the Polytechnic Alumni, has more than 28,000 members living in all 50 states and at least 64 countries. Over 6,600 alumni live in the five boroughs of New York City. Membership in the alumni association is automatic and free for those who have graduated from Polytechnic. Alumni of Polytechnic receive the Cable magazine and a wide-range of benefits.
Career Management Center
The NYU-Poly Career Management Center offers a variety of services:
