Graduate Orientation Checklist

Check-ins

• Student Affairs (Regna Lounge): Get temporary ID’s, orientation schedule, free gift, submit immunizations, community compact and media rights waiver, and information related to health insurance. Plus, register for social events
• Graduate Admissions (Regna Lounge): ESL holds and other conditional admissions.
• OISS (LC 230): International students only.

Meet with your advisor

• Get advisor’s hold removed.
• Discuss class schedule.
• Register for classes
  On-Campus: sahr.poly.edu
  Off-Campus: vpn-students.poly.edu
• Print course schedule (Regna Lounge)
• Obtain NYU-Poly ID card (Card Center, JB 158)

Attend mandatory sessions

• Welcome to Graduate School @ NYU-Poly.
• International Student Seminar (International students only).
• Computer Science/Cyber Security Department Presentation (CS and Cyber Security only).
• Immunization Compliance.

Recommended sessions

• New Graduate Student Soirée (a party for all new graduate students)
• Career Kick Start with the Wasserman Center & GSET Program
• Introduction to i2e: Entrepreneurship & Startups at NYU-Poly & NYU
• Get Involved: An Intro to Graduate Student Activities.
