Student Life

Welcome to the NYU-Poly Community!

NYU-Poly Orientation for both undergraduate and graduate students is designed to assist you in your acclimation into a new community, and to introduce you to the many opportunities available. We have comprehensive websites dedicated to both new undergraduate and new graduate students. Please click on the links below for your respective orientation programs.

At NYU-Poly, orientation is your chance to learn about the Institution, ask questions, register for classes, get to know your fellow classmates, and begin your adventure as a new member of our community. Orientation sessions for first-year and transfer students last for two days. For transfer students, there will also be a separate session for you to address your specific needs. Additional Welcome Week programming will also take place in the fall and spring semesters after you arrive and complete orientation.

Students are expected to participate in all components of the their Orientation program, which includes an introduction to academic and student life, and opportunities for new students to interact with various members of the NYU-Poly community. Most importantly, you will have the chance to meet your fellow incoming students and current student leaders, paving the way for friendships that could last a lifetime.
