Rooms and Amenities

The information below refers to our Othmer Residence Hall for freshman and sophomores. To learn about housing for juniors, seniors, and graduate students, visit our Clark Residence.

Rooms

You have the option of selecting a 2-bedroom suite or 2-bedroom apartment. Every suite and apartment comes fully furnished and houses a total of 4 students.

A typical suite includes:

• 2 bedrooms*
• 1 bathroom
• twin captain bed/dresser combo, desk, and wardrobe in each bedroom, for each student

A typical apartment includes:

• 2 bedrooms
• 1 bathroom
• full kitchen
• twin bed, dresser, desk, and wardrobe in each bedroom, for each student

*Select suites will have three bedrooms and two bathroom layouts.

Laundry Machines

Machines are located in the basement of the Othmer Residence Hall and are operated using a card system. Cards can be purchased from the VTM Value Adder Plus vending machine. To purchase a card, you must insert a $10.00 bill. The cost for the card is $5.00. A new card will be dispensed with a $5.00 balance. Laundry cards do not expire and can be used from year to year.

Dining

As an on-campus resident, you'll be provided with a meal plan as an element of your housing costs (money is deducted from the meal plans on a debit system). Our dining hall (the Jasper Kane Cafeteria) is conveniently located in Rogers Hall — steps from home and class — and seats over 300. With a wide assortment of foods, and options for every diet, on-campus dining is sure to satisfy your needs.
