- Users from other METRO member libraries may access the Polytechnic Library collections, but may not borrow materials. A yellow METRO card, issued by the user's home library, is required.
- Friends of the Library have visiting and borrowing privileges. Contact the Library's administrative office (718) 260-3109 for a library pass.
- Faculty, students and staff of ALB (Academic Libraries of Brooklyn) member institutions may use our resources on site and may borrow up to two items at a time. An ALB card from the user's home library and a valid school ID must be presented when borrowing materials. The loan period is 28 days. Material is nonrenewable.
- Use of Library facility/services by external users, not formally affiliated with Polytechnic University (i.e. faculty, staff, students, alumni) is as follows:
- $175 a year per person for Library use without borrowing privileges
- $650 a year per person for Library use with borrowing privileges
