About the Position

The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Departments of the Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU Poly) invite applications for a faculty position with research focus in the general area of Medical Image Analysis, where the area is broadly interpreted to include object segmentation, matching, and modeling, and machine learning, driven by challenging biomedical applications.

We welcome applications at all levels with an exceptional record in research, teaching, and professional accomplishments. The rank of initial appointment will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.  We are looking for candidates able to lead national and international projects with close multidisciplinary collaboration between medicine, engineering, statistics, industry, and computer science. The successful candidate will have excellent opportunities to initiate interdisciplinary research and educational collaborations with the diverse institutes and departments within NYU, including the NYU Medical and Dental schools, NYU Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, and to play a major role in the establishment of new programs in Bioengineering and related areas.
