^{The Office of Assessment and Institutional Research (AIR) is committed to enhancing the educational, research and workplace experience at Polytechnic Institute of New York University. The core function of AIR is to serve the NYU-Poly community by providing objective, research-based information and analysis to support decision making, planning, evaluation, and performance improvement.}

In support of AIR’s core function, the office also serves as the primary source for all federal and state reporting, for coordination of accreditation processes, in addition to providing the information for all external surveys and maintaining a wide array of dynamic databases to support longitudinal studies and statistical analysis. AIR supports the Institute’s overall performance measurement and assessment activities of its academic and administrative departments by collaborating with other offices to insure the integrity and usability of its data and information resources.
