Writing and the Humanities II

Description:
An introduction to the humanities and to advanced techniques in writing. Thematic emphasis on change and continuity in the humanities is presented, as well as an exploration of the interrelationship of the humanistic disciplines through study of great words of art, philosophy, literature and, in some sections, music. Advanced work is given to stylistic options and more complex forms of writing, including the longer critical study, formal report and research paper. In some cases, this course may be presented as an introduction to literature.
