Where DM 2164 was primarily a historical orientation to media communications, this course is its complement: a critical orientation. Drawing on the combination of their strengthening research, discursive, and creative skills, students in DM 3163 will be encouraged and expected to consider contemporary media communications practices as integral parts of an ongoing global cultural process, with all the variety of potential that implies.
