Admission:
Students admission to the Honors Program is by invitation only. Selected freshman students are invited to submit an Honors application and to be interviewed by members of the faculty and/or the Honors Program Director.
Criteria for Admission:
Preference is given to students with a high school GPA of 90 and an SAT score (verbal & math) of 1350 or higher. However, files are reviewed in a comprehensive manner and other important criteria are given serious consideration. Among these are the difficulty of course work (AP and IB courses), receipt of prizes and awards, leadership positions, participation in academic clubs, evidence of ability to successfully overcome obstacles, evidence of self-discipline and persistence as confirmed in the letters of recommendation.

Honors Transfer Program:
A select number of regularly admitted students with outstanding academic records will be permitted to enroll in free or discounted summer classes. Admission into the Honors Transfer Program is by invitation and applies only to Polytechnic students who entered the University as regular admits. Students transferring to Polytechnic from other institutions are not eligible for this program. Honors Transfer students will not receive any additional scholarship, and are subject to the GPA requirements outlined above in order to enroll in free or discounted summer courses in future years. Honors Transfer students are not required to complete a Bachelor's thesis.
