Continuing Students

Upon completion of your FAFSA, the Office of Financial Aid will determine your eligibility for a Subsidized or Unsubsidized Stafford Loan based upon financial need. Your award letter will indicate the maximum loan amount you may borrow.

All currently enrolled students who received a Stafford Loan at Polytechnic Institute of NYU during the last ten academic years will not need to complete another MPN this year.We will automatically transmit the loan amount indicated on your award letter to NYSHESC, and the funds will be sent directly to Polytechnic. If you wish to reduce the amount of loan funds, simply complete the enclosed Loan Cancellation/Reduction Form available on the Printable Forms section of our web site at here and return it to our office.

If you do not wish to utilize any loan funds for the upcoming year, simply circle the "D" next to the recommended loan amounts on your award letter that you will be declining, and return the letter to our office.
