DIRECTORS WELCOME

Dear Inquiring Student:

The Department of Finance and Risk Engineering offers unparalleled education in financial engineering. Our Master of Science program demands rigorous performance and, in turn, gives students solid, specialized skills. We are building on our initial successes, placing graduates in key industry roles in portfolio management and derivatives trading.

This Master of Science program, the first curriculum certified by the International Association of Financial Engineers, is built upon 36 credit hours. This recognition is a strong indication of the relevance and comprehensiveness of the Program. We benefit from the involvement of industry leaders who participate as Adjunct Faculty. The Center's renowned academics and practitioners are committed to serving as an educational vanguard of the financial community.

With the generous support of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, we offer the graduate program either on a full-time or part-time basis. We seek collaboration with industry on research projects that afford candidates applications of their knowledge.

Polytechnic's Financial Engineering Program prepares its graduates to enter fast-moving, highly rewarding careers in commercial and investment banks, investment firms, insurance companies, pension funds, information technology development firms and risk management teams.

I invite you to explore the innovative resources available to students, professionals and the financial services industry.
