Profile
Stuart A. Steele received his B.S. in E.E. from Bucknell University and his M.S. and Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University. His areas of research are software engineering, real-time systems, and system integration. He developed the digital system laboratory at Penn State and was supported by grants from NSF and NASA. Professor Steele spent many years in industry with extensive systems and research focus. Applications include complex software-intensive systems for engineering and business. He was involved in obtaining many grants and contracts in software technology areas. He served as chief technical officer for a major system integration organization. He taught extensively in an adjunct role in software engineering and real-time computer systems. He also was on the advisory board of many computer science and electrical engineering departments.
