The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce's Real Estate & Development (RED) Committee presents its educational breakfast seminar for real estate professionals including for-profit & nonprofit developers, owners, landlords, architects, engineers, builders, construction suppliers, title search, attorneys, brokers, mortgage services, commercial lenders, etc.

As the supply of undeveloped land in Brooklyn gets smaller, brownfields are attracting builders in several property niches because many are in prime locations. Nationwide, there appears to be growing interest in brownfields remediation and development. Such sites offer both opportunities and challenges for those who have the patience and the courage to invest in them.

We have invited presenters representing the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, NYS DOS Division of Coastal Resources, NYC Office of Environmental Coordination, YU+ Associates, AIG Environmental, JPMorgan Chase, and others to share with attendees the Brownfield redevelopment process in an attempt to encourage re-use and redevelopment of Brownfield sites as productive job producing properties.

At the end of this educational seminar, you will take away a "road map" and useful resources as you explore Brownfield redevelopment in Brooklyn.
