The America Invents Act became law on September 16, 2011. It is the most comprehensive reform legislation of the U.S. patent statutes since the Patent Act of 1952. The AIA was enacted for the purpose, among others, of harmonizing our patent system with those of other countries. But in doing so, it may have undermined many of the foundational principles on which our patent system is based. This presentation will compare the old with the new so that attendees will have a better understanding of how to protect their intellectual property under the new statutes.
This event includes breakfast and is free to all Poly alumni.
