Charles Camarda is a former astronaut and a NASA Distinguished Professor in Residence at NYU-Poly on assignment to create creativity and innovation curricula in the graduate and undergraduate engineering programs.
Examines key managerial features of technology-enabled innovation and new product development. Focuses on accessing innovative capabilities in R&D, acquisition, alliances, joint ventures and innovation-friendly cultures and organizations. Gives you a managerial perspective on technology-enabled companies. You will discover best practices in the interplay between the technology and management leading to innovation.

Fred Strauss is a full-time NYU-Poly faculty member in computer science and information technology and directs the computer science program in Long Island.
Discover the skills required to manage a project throughout its life cycle-from concept to completion. Explore engineering analysis, screening and selection, configuration and total quality management. Learn how to schedule using PERT and CPM, how to budget, and how to perform resource management. You are introduced to computer and software support systems. A series of case studies are used to illustrate best practices in project management.

Fred Strauss is a full-time NYU-Poly faculty member in computer science and information technology and directs the computer science program in Long Island.
Gives you with a solid foundation from which to understand the role and potential contributions of information technologies and systems in business-what they are, how they affect your organization and employees, and how they can make businesses more competitive and efficient. You will understand the current state of IT in organizations, challenges and strategic use of IT, IT infrastructure and architecture, building, implementing and managing IT applications, and emerging opportunities and challenges, such as intelligent systems, business process reengineering, knowledge management, and group support systems.
Mastering Manufacturing Systems Engineering

Blair Williams
Blair Williams teaches industrial and manufacturing engineering and has taught for Poly since 1992. He is a Chartered Engineer in the UK (equivalent to a US PE), and is the author of Manufacturing for Survival: The How-to Guide for Practitioners and Managers on Manufacturing Strategies (Prentice Hall).
A thorough appreciation of new techniques in product design and manufacturing, including an overview of financial aspects of manufacturing, quality, and reliability. You will understand the role of Taguchi methods in product and process design, scale-up and partitioning, production flows, and modern manufacturing method, such as JIT/TQC, pull and synchronized manufacturing. You will also appreciate the role cultural factors in manufacturing.
The program is being delivered on the Long Island campus of NYU Poly at 105 Maxess Road, Melville, NY 11747 and may also be presented at your company site and at other locations.
