EE 136   Communication Networks


Description:

This course describes the basic techniques used in communicatipon networks. Protocol layering will be first introduced. Then algorithms and protocols used in each of the five layers: physical, datalink, network, transport, and application will be taught. Specific example protocols, such as TCP/IP, ATM, SS7, etc. will be introduced.
