Positions:                             Functional Imaging Analyst/Technician B

Salary:                                   $35,520.52

Department:                         Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Brain Imaging Lab

Duties:                                   Analyze and control quality of functional MRI images and behavioral data. Explore analysis techniques with investigators, and help write and maintain analysis programs and methods. Automate analysis procedures using Matlab scripts. Occasionally assist in MRI scanning.

Education:                            Required: BA or BS (e.g., computer science, engineering, psychology, biology, neuroscience).

Training & Experience:     Must have computer programming skills (MATLAB strongly preferred), be familiar with various software programs (e.g. Excel, Word, Access). Must be well-organized.

Special Requirements:     Three-years commitment required.

Job Title: Computer Programmer/Analyst

Number of position: 2 - 4

Job Description: Perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements. Maintain and modify programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Code, test and troubleshoot programs in ASP.NET using Visual Studio.NET
  2. Refine data and format final product using SQL Server or Oracle Database
  3. Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
  4. Test and develop programming modifications.
  5. Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
  6. Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
  7. Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
  8. Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs. Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
  9. Write and maintain programming documentation.
  10. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
  11. Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
  12. Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource.
  13. Other duties as assigned.
