Wireless telecommunication has experienced remarkable growth since the introduction of cellular telephones. With the licensing by the FCC of spectrum for Personal Communication Services (PCS) and other services such as wireless LAN, wireless local loop, wireless PDA, and the emerging wireless Internet, the rate of growth is expected to increase even further. In order to give those with an electrical and computer engineering background the specific knowledge needed to work in this expanding market, Polytechnic Institute of NYU has structured a series of five post B.S. level courses that cover the knowledge needed to compete successfully in this industry. The program consists of two required courses plus three elective courses.

For further information regarding the Wireless Communication Systems Certificate, contact Professor Frank Cassara at (631) 755-4360.
