The Laboratory for Drug Delivery Systems

The Laboratory for Drug Delivery Systems was established in September 2004 at Polytechnic University.

The aim of our group is dual: (1) to perform basic studies on heterogeneous lipid membranes in order to elucidate their structure and properties, and (2) to develop a framework for translational research of lipid-based delivery carriers for the targeted therapy of cancer.

Particular translational areas of research include: novel liposomal structures, polymer-based surface modification of liposomal carriers, targeted delivery of therapeutic compounds and radionuclides, imaging and multimodal-therapy of disseminated cancer.
