Workshops
Major component of the services offered by the Counseling Center is the provision of interactive workshops designed to help student maximize their academic and personal effectiveness. The Counseling Center offers variety of workshops on a range of topics including mental health, academic and peak performance.
Below is a listing of the workshops offered this semester.
The Counseling Center has developed workshops on the following topic:
- Time management
- Relaxation
- Meditation
- The importance of sleep
- Overcoming depression
- Peak performance
- Overcoming procrastination
- Visualization
- Speaking with confidence
- Getting what you want out of alcohol
- Confidence building
- Helping a friend in crisis
- Suicide prevention
- Managing anxiety
- Effective communication skills.
These and other workshop topics are available and can be tailored for the needs of the intended audience.

Please keep in mind that since a workshop will be developed specifically for your needs the Counseling Center suggests that your requests be submitted at least two weeks prior to the date you would like the program conducted.
