Luis G. Manzo, Ph.D.
Director

Luis is a licensed psychologist and completed his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University in Chicago. In addition, Luis received his master’s degree in Sport psychology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Prior to becoming the Director of the Counseling Center at Polytechnic Institute of NYU, Luis served as the Assistant Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Montclair State University as well as was on staff at the University of Notre Dame and Lafayette College.

Luis has focused his career on working with college students successful make the transition from high school to college and beyond.  He specializes in providing performance enhancement services to students wishing to stretch their abilities and maximize their potential.  In addition, Luis has an expertise in the assessment, treatment and prevention of addictive disorders.

Luis’ work with students is informed by the positive psychology movements and integrates elements or motivational interviewing and solution focused approaches with a existential and relational perspective.

Scott Feldman, Ph.D.
Staff Psychologist/Coordinator of Clinical Training.

Scott received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is licensed to practice psychology in New York State. Scott completed a clinical Fellowship at counseling and psychological services at Columbia University in August of 2006 and has worked at other college counseling centers in New York and Chicago.

Scott's clinical interests include developmental issues of early adulthood, coping with every day and traumatic stress, the role of spirituality and religion in the therapy process, depression, bereavement, and disability.

In his work with students, Scott blends traditional psychological approaches -- particularly relational psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral -- with mindfulness practices and principles from Buddhist psychology. Scott's personal interests include meditation, acoustic music, hiking, rollerblading, and yoga.
