We are considering offering a compressed 3-day CleantechExecs program in late Summer 2010 and plan to offer a full cohort of CleantechExecs in the Fall of 2010. If you are interested in either or both of these offerings, you are welcome to apply now.
Companies, investors, and government agencies alike see that the need for leadership talent in the burgeoning cleantech industry, a key bottleneck for the growth of new ventures and new businesses in this sector, especially in New York City. To address this well-recognized need for cleantech entrepreneurs and innovative C-level executives for new businesses, we have designed the CleantechExecs program.
To help fuel the successful growth of the local cleantech industry, this program selects strong executives with exceptional operational skills, and accelerates their transition into leadership positions in early-stage companies and growing businesses. The program efficiently provides participants with industry-specific strategic and operational knowledge, and best practices. Such skills form a foundation for nurturing and expanding cleantech start-ups and new businesses in New York.
The CleantechExecs program is unique. It emphasizes specific cleantech industry segments that leverage exceptional features of New York City and State; in particular technologies, markets, and services that capitalize on needs of large, dense, urban environments. In this way, participants can build or join businesses in NY that possesses the potential to grow.
The program will also provide extensive networking opportunities for participants with the venture and business communities, as well as with NYSERDA and the NYCEDC. The formation of such relationships, along with a growing alumni group, will accelerate career transition, project and business growth, and your impact within the local cleantech community.
The CleantechExecs program is based on months of research and careful curriculum research and development that were conducted at NYU-Poly and NYU. We consulted numerous sources and sought input from industry experts. We also benchmarked ourselves with relevant initiatives worldwide.
We are now gratified that we have earned support of a growing network of regional, national, and international institutions and individuals.
