BS/MS HONORS PROGRAM IN COMPUTER SCIENCE
GENERAL INFORMATION
Full-time students in computer science may be admitted in to the BS/MS Honors program, which leads to the simultaneous award of the Bachelor’s Degree and the Master’s Degree in computer science. Depending on the student’s preparation and objectives, completion of the two degrees may come as early as the end of the fourth year of study. Admission into this program is normally made at the Freshman year; however, special programs may be worked out for other students individually with the departmental Honors advisor. Acceleration may be achieved through advanced placement, credit by examination, summer coursework, and/or research participation. The program is intended for students with outstanding academic records (3.5 GPA), and with particularly good grades in major courses. Financial aid may be available for summer coursework for a limited number of credits.
