CS 665 Expert Systems and Knowledge Engineering

Description:

This course introduces students to the various techniques used in building an expert system. An introduction to the rule-based programming language OPS5 will be given, and a prototype expert system will be built using it. Topics covered include: knowledge representation methods, production systems, inference procedures, uncertainty and evidence combination, expert systems architectures and control, knowledge acquisition, programming languages for expert systems and various case studies.
