This program aims to provide a strong multi-disciplinary background in state-of-the-art technologies in Structural Engineering, Construction Materials, Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering, and Computer-Integrated Engineering. The courses offered and the research in this program is broad and complies with the national trends, with emphasis on local needs in the New York metropolitan area. Our goal is to achieve balanced and strong components of both basic and applied technologies in Structural Engineering. On-going research topics include non-destructive evaluation of structures, advanced construction materials, seismic behavior and retrofitting of buildings and bridges, and computer-integrated engineering and applications.
