TR 7333 Design and Management of Arterial and Street Networks
Description:
The system of surface arterials and streets serves as the bloodstream of urban and suburban activities. The physical design and management of these critical traffic systems plays an important role in the economic and social viability of an urban or suburban area. This course focuses on the design elements of urban roadway systems, and on the management of arterial and street space. While an overview of traffic control for such systems is included, the focus is on design aspects of facilities, and on overall management strategies for optimizing the functionality of urban/suburban networks.
