Q: How do I obtain an application?
A: Polytechnic Graduate may be obtained online, or by contacting the admissions office.
Q: What elements are necessary to complete an application?
A: A completed application includes the $55 application fee, transcripts from all prior institutions, two letters of recommendation and statement of personal interest. Application fee may be waved based on financial situation.
Q: Is a graduate admission test mandatory for admission?
A: All applicants are required to take the general Graduate Record Examination (GRE). The chemistry subject GRE is strongly recommended.
Q: Is the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) mandatory for all international applicants?
A: Yes. Applicants for whom English is a second language must score at least 500 on the TOEFL.
Q: What are the application deadlines?
A: Application must be received by February 1 st to be considered for scholarships and application fee waiver (based on financial situation) for the fall. The general deadline for fall is March 1 st.
Q: Can I transfer college credits from other schools?
A: AA maximum of 9 transfer credits toward an MS degree and 36 credits toward a PhD degree can be applied from accredited institutions. Successful transfer of graduate credits is based upon evaluation and approval by your academic advisor at Polytechnic.
Q: How much do courses cost?
A: Part-time graduate tuition is $950 per credit, so each 3-credit course costs $2850.
