Internships & Co-op Opportunities

What is Cooperative Education?
Cooperative Education is a unique educational program in which undergraduate and graduate students may integrate classroom study with periods of work experience related to their major.
How does Co-op Work?
Co-op at Polytechnic is an optional program for students. It is a partnership involving the student, the employer and the Co-op Office. Employers may select students from the alternating or parallel Co-op programs.
Alternating Co-op - students work full-time (35-40 hours) for a semester. After completion of field assignment they return to school for a semester of full-time study. By alternating two students in the same Co-op position, an employer can continuously fill this job throughout the year.
Parallel Co-op -undegraduate students work on a part-time basis (15-20 hours a week) while they attend classes full-time. This is the most popular option.
