On-Campus Employment

NYU-Poly offers a wide variety of part-time employment opportunities for current students. All jobs are posted in the NYU CareerNet database at the beginning of each semester. Although there are many positions available on-campus, this is a competitive process and jobs are not guaranteed.

Whether you are looking for a work study job, a non-work study job, or a GSET positiion, you should visit The Wasserman Center for Career Development at NYU-Poly to have your resume and cover letter reviewed. You will need these documents to apply for open positions.

Federal Work Study

If a Federal Work Study award is included in your Financial Aid package, you have the opportunity to apply for both on-campus and off-campus employment through this federally funded program. Access NYU-Poly's online job posting site, NYU CareerNet, to review posted positions and apply. Look for "NYU-Poly only: Federal Work Study" under the Position Type drop down menu.

Although many positions are available on-campus, NYU-Poly's partnership with the Public Service Corps creates an opportunity for students to work off-campus through the Federal Work Study program. Please stop by The Wasserman Center for Career Development at NYU-Poly to pick up an application and learn more details.

Non-Federal Work Study

If you did not receive a work study grant in your financial aid package, you are still eligible to apply for on-campus part-time positions.

Access NYU-Poly's online job posting site, NYU CareerNet, to review posted positions and apply. Look for "NYU-Poly only: On-Campus Non Federal Work Study" under the Position Type drop down menu.

Graduate Student Employment and Training (GSET) Program

The GSET Program is NYU-Poly’s on-campus employment program for graduate students. It is designed to support NYU-Poly’s invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship philosophy — what we call i-squared-e.

The GSET program bridges the gap between academia and the professional world by helping graduate students:

  • Develop professional skills
  • Become problem solvers
  • Create strong foundations for successful careers
  • Learn about business ethics
  • Understand cutting-edge technology
  • Develop an entrepreneurial spirit
