Graduate school is a commitment on many levels: financial, academic, social, and emotional. It is important to spend time thinking about why you want to go, what you want to gain, how it will help you in your career, and if you are ready. We can help you gather the right information to make an informed decision.
Keep in mind that the admission process can take 6 to 9 months, so start early. Set and adhere to a schedule for yourself to ensure that you meet all application deadlines. Meet with a Career Counselor to discuss and prepare for the graduate school application process:
Preprofessional advising for students interested in law and healthcare professions, business, or other professional training is available through the College Advising Center. Prehealth students at NYU-Poly who are interested in receiving a Committee Letter should follow the process outlined here. The Committee Interview will be conducted by NYU-Poly faculty and staff.
Students are also encouraged to consider the SUNY Downstate Medical School Linkage Program.
