Thinking About Graduate School?
Graduate school is a commitment on many levels: financial, academic, social, and emotional. It is important to spend time thinking about why you want to go, what you want to gain, how it will help you in your career, and if you are ready. We can help you gather the right information to make an informed decision.
Keep in mind that the admission process can take 6 to 9 months, so start early. Set and adhere to a schedule for yourself to ensure that you meet all application deadlines. Meet with a Career Counselor to discuss and prepare for the graduate school application process:
- Learn About Yourself: interests, skills, values and how to articulate these in an application
- Gather Information About Prospective Schools
- Complete Required Coursework
- Obtain Letters of Recommendation
- Take Required Standard Tests
- Craft a Personal Statement
- Develop a Resume or Curriculum Vitae
- Interview Preparation
