All alumni and parents are invited to join Dr. Jason Hsuan '75 (宣建生博士), Professor H. Jonathan Chao, and Vice President Barbara Noseworthy for a special gathering to learn more about the exciting research happening in Brooklyn, and to hear first-hand how NYU-Poly is poised on the verge of transformation.
Dr. Jason Hsuan (宣建生博士), graduated from Polytechnic in 1975 with PhD in Systems Engineering. He is the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at TPV Technology Limited (冠捷科技集團), a leading display solutions provider, specializing in design and production of a wide spectrum of CRT monitors, TFT-LCD monitors and flat TVs. Dr. Hsuan was recently awarded the NYU-Poly Distinguished Electrical and Computer Engineering Alumni Award during his November 2010 visit to Brooklyn.
Professor Chao, a recognized expert in high-performance routers, is department head and professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He will give a short presentation about his exciting research in the areas of terabit switches/routers, network security, and quality of service in high-speed networks. Professor Chao holds 28 patents and has published over 180 journals and conference papers. To learn more about Professor Chao, click here.
This event is a great opportunity to hear first-hand from NYU-Poly faculty about the application of i2e -- invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship -- and how with the support of our alumni and friends, we are emerging as an accelerator of innovation and feuling New York City's drive to become the innovation capital of the world.
