Alumni Events

Throughout the year, NYU-Poly hosts educational, social, and cultural events for alumni. Annual events include reunions, networking opportunities, regional alumni events, donor recognition events, and the Annual Alumni Meeting.  Visit the calendar of events for an up-to-date listing.

Alumni Directory

Should you need help contacting lost alumni and friends, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations directly at 718-260-3885. Or you can find us on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.  The next printed Alumni Directory is scheduled to be released in 2012, so stay on the lookout for additional information. Alumni Publications

Cable, the official magazine for alumni, is published 4 times a year by the Office of Development and University Relations. It is mailed, free of charge, to all alumni with valid addresses. If your address or contact information, including email, has changed, please contact us at alumni@poly.edu or 718-260-3885. 

Cable is also available online, with expanded content, videos, Facebook connectivity, interactive Class Notes, and additional alumni features.  Visit cable.poly.edu today, and let us know what you think of this online publication.  

Career Services

NYU-Poly’s Career Management Center offers support and assistance to recent alumni. Alumni who graduated more than 1 year ago can receive career counseling and other programming from the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS). Poly Alumni may also take advantage of PolyLINK, our online job database. Visit the Career Management Center to learn more.

Continuing Education

Alumni may enroll in any course offered at NYU-Poly at a reduced cost. Enrollment will not result in a grade; the class is on an audit basis only. For more information, please contact us here. Graduate courses are now also offered at a discount for NYU-Poly alumni. Please contact the Graduate Center (gradinfo@poly.edu) for more details.

Enterprise Learning Rebates

As a Society Co-Sponsor of NYU-Poly’s Enterprise Learning, Polytechnic Alumni benefit from rebates for courses that they successfully complete through the program. Whether you need to encourage technical leadership, or provide creative intelligence to run your R&D centers, or introduce strategic ways to launch new tools and technologies, our partnership with Enterprise Learning can lead to a savings of thousands of dollars over the course of a master’s program, and allow you to gain education hours that are needed for some industry certifications. Plum Entertainment Discount Program: Discounts on Theater, Music, Attractions, Restaurant, Sports and More

Entertainment tickets are notoriously difficult to get. It's a hassle. You don't know what is available. You don't know when it's available. Events are sold out. Tickets are too much money. NYU-Poly alumni may now take advantage of NYU's Plum Benefits program, which offers discounts on theater and concert tickets, special events, restaurants, sporting events, and more.  Simply send an email to alumni@poly.edu requesting the alumni access code, and then visit the NYU Plum Benefits website to create an account.

Travel Adventures

Alumni Relations, in partnership with the NYU Alumni office, brings alumni and friends together to visit exciting new places and experience new cultures while enjoying a variety of activities. Hudson Union Society Membership

Jeffery S. Gould Welcome Center

Planning a visit to Washington Square? Drop by the Jeffrey S. Gould Welcome Center, located at the southeast corner of Washington Square Park. Alumni can drop in to get information on upcoming NYU events, use the computers, and enjoy the opportunity to learn about NYU’s rich history. Be sure to visit the photo gallery featuring historical photos celebrating NYU’s 175th anniversary and come relax in the alumni lounge.

Midtown Executive Club

NYU-Poly alumni have a special affiliate relationship with the Midtown Executive Club, located on 45th Street, just off Fifth Avenue in New York City. Over the years, members of the NYU-Poly community have used this private facility for client meetings, staff retreats, seminars, receptions, reunions and banquets. The NYU Club: Quiet Elegance in Bustling New York City

Located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, the NYU Club offers NYU graduates, faculty, and administrators a refuge from everyday life in the city. NYU Libraries

NYU Open Education Program

The concept of sharing educational resources freely around the world, referred to as "open education" or "open courseware", is now gaining mainstream acceptance both inside and outside of the academy and has been adopted by over 200 higher education institutions worldwide.   According to the OpenCourseWare Consortium (OCW), open education has three main advantages: access and distribution of knowledge to regions of the world where higher education is not readily available; recruitment and retention of students, as well as curriculum development and research collaboration among faculty; and sustainability of interest in and access to higher education. NYU-Poly Library Services

The Bern Dibner Library on NYU-Poly’s MetroTech Campus offers many services to alumni. Alumni must have an Alumni Library Card to access the library and its resources. The Alumni Library Card allows alumni to use the library resources and check out a maximum of 2 books at a time. Visit the library online to learn more.
